Job Summary
The Risk Coordinator is responsible for assessing, tracking, following up and reporting on property damage claims related to Underground and Aerial Construction. The Risk Coordinator handles the claim investigation, assessment and insurance submission and closure. This would include document submission to the carrier, working with the insurance adjuster, determining root cause, and working within the organization to mitigate risks in the future.

- Strong knowledge of MS Office software included Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections
- Detail oriented with excellent observation skills
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Point of contact for Company damages, injuries, incidents
- Works with management team to conduct field investigative activities, including witness interviews, statements, photos, and statements for accidents that involve damages or injuries
- Logs incoming claims, filing claims, and working through claims processing procedures
- Assesses and determines liability, negotiating payments and working with insurance adjusters
- Examines insurance claims investigated by insurance adjusters
- Reviews, evaluates, and processes insurance claims and makes recommendations for resolution
- Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations for modifications and improvements
- Audit compliance and tracking
- Training documentation
- Incident tracking
- Monthly Incident reports
- Penguin Data entry
- Maintains personal training to ensure that knowledge and certifications are current
- Knowledgeable in Work Area Protection (WAP) / DOT / MOT local and state requirements
- Knowledgeable in DOT / Files and management
Additional Qualifications:
- Preferably an associate's degree in risk management (ARM) or related field or equivalent experience
- Background in Utility Construction
- Background in Underground Utility Location and Damage Prevention
Working Conditions – Office and field environment to include possible travel to job sites
