We are seeking a motivated RME/RMO (Responsible Managing Employee or Officer) License Qualifier to join our team. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements pertaining to company licensing. The RME is responsible for qualifying the company they work for and the work performed for local, state, and federal licensing requirements. This position does not restrict the RM/RMO from being able to use their license for personal reasons, such as side work, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for any licensed electrician, construction, or general contractor to utilize their unused license.
Work location: Remote
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain electrician, construction &/or contractor licenses with all federal, state, and local municipalities.
- Ability to obtain required local and state certifications, licensing, and endorsements; or ability to pass required training and examinations to obtain certifications and licenses.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the construction &/or telecommunications industry.
- Expertise in management of commercial and residential construction projects, including telecommunications project administration and subcontractor management.
- Experience in municipality requirements for license application, renewal, and licensing changes; preferable across all 50 states.
- Ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams regarding invoicing and payments to ensure accurate and timely license applications and renewals.
- Attention to detail in tracking licensing due dates and timelines pertaining to applications, changes in licenses, and renewals.
- Strong communication skills & experience working with local and state licensing organizations to apply for and secure required company licenses.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives and functional leadership.
- Ensure a positive company image by working closely with industry, business, community leaders, and regulatory groups.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
Proven experience working in construction, telecommunications/cable/MSO, or similar environments.
- 5-10 yrs. industry exp
- Must be results-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work independently to meet business requirements and needs.
- Intellectual Agility: The ability to seek input, make connections, and recognize patterns that lead to effective decision-making and action.
- Expert Excel chops, including modeling and data analytics.
- Results-oriented, organized, efficient, and resourceful team player that excels in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to operate effectively across matrix organizations and government municipalities.
- Strong initiative, comfortable with ambiguity, and willingness to move outside of one's comfort zone.
