Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative aspects of the group benefits, 401k retirement plans and the company compensation plans.
- Responsible for the annual enrollment process for the group benefit plans.
- Responsible for the annual preparation of the Form 5500s and the Summary Annual Reports.
- Ensure the orientation and enrollment of new employees in benefit plans.
- Oversee status changes and review claims and invoices.
- Provides vendors appropriate documentation for life, pension, and disability benefits claims.
- Evaluates and compares existing employee benefits with benchmarks to provide a competitive program.
- Evaluates and compares outside dental practice benefits programs that are potential integrations and provides analysis and recommendations for new practice integrations.
- Analyzes employee utilization of current benefits and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
- Assists in preparing materials and in presenting benefit plan changes to employees.
- Maintains employee benefit files and other record keeping.
- Works closely with the HRIS Manager on all system setup and maintenance of the group benefits and retirement plans.
Qualifications

- 8 years of prior experience in employee benefits administration is required
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is recommended
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong analytical and strategic skills with excellent attention to detail
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and also engage as part of a team.
