Description :
The Staff Accountant has primary responsibility for cash applications processing and general ledger accounting. The position will support accounts payables and work closely with our customer service, finance, and others within our office and plant located on Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Daily posting and deposits of incoming payments (ACH, Wires, and checks) into SAP. Collaborate with customer service and sales team to follow up with customers to address payment issues and discrepancies.
Maintain records of all cash receipt transactions. Completing monthly closing procedures as well as yearly procedures audits as needed.
Maintain organization of accounting records according to record retention policies. Accurate journal entry recording and reconciliation of accounts.
Distribute regular customer statements and specific invoice documentation. Develop and maintain internal control processes and procedures.
The position reports to the Finance Manager.
The Staff Accountant works with all levels of management to gather and disseminate information and to accomplish organizational goals in a cost effective manner.

Requirements :
Minimum Requirements :
Relevant college degree or relevant experience in accounting and or accounts receivable management.
MS office applications efficiency.
Previous experience SAP / ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications :
Undergraduate college degree in business.
3 years of experience with accounting especially accounts payables, accounts receivables and general ledger.
Familiarity with freight transactions.
Experience with Florida sales tax regulations.
Knowledge of electronic banking techniques and cash applications.
Skilled in Microsoft applications.
This is a full-time position, and on-site hours Monday through Friday with core work hours 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand to support a 24 / 7 plant operation.
