We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead our marketing and PR efforts at Ligori & Ligori. This role requires a strong leader to manage and inspire a dedicated marketing team, with a focus on elevating our firm’s brand, expanding our community outreach, and fostering positive public relations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of public relations strategies, and a proven track record of successful community outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead and mentor a diverse team of marketing and public relations professionals.

    • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives to align with the firm’s strategic vision.
    • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, press releases, digital content, and communications to maintain consistency in brand messaging and legal expertise.
  • Public Relations Strategy
    • Build and nurture relationships with key providers, influencers, and community organizations.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to increase the firm's community visibility.
  • Community Outreach & Engagement
    • Drive community engagement through events, sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities, focusing on strengthening the firm’s presence and commitment to local causes.
    • Identify opportunities for the firm to contribute to important social issues, charity initiatives, or local events that align with the firm’s values.
    • Organize and participate in local outreach efforts, such as hosting informational sessions, pro bono initiatives, and legal education seminars.
  • Marketing Campaigns & Content Strategy
    • Oversee the development and execution of traditional, modern & innovative marketing campaigns to promote the firm’s legal expertise, practice areas, and key attorneys.
    • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to create thought leadership content, including articles, blogs, and speaking engagements and round tables positioning the firm as an industry leader.
    • Manage the firm's website and digital presence, ensuring timely updates and SEO optimization for visibility.
  • Brand Positioning & Advocacy
    • Work closely with the leadership team to define and communicate the firm’s brand and values through marketing initiatives consistently.

    • Develop brand strategies that increase recognition and solidify the firm’s position as a trusted legal advisor in both the legal and local community.
  • Strategic Planning & Budget Management
    • Manage a $2MM marketing and public relations budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across campaigns and initiatives.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts and public relations strategies, adjusting plans as needed to improve ROI.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing and PR activities, providing detailed analytics to leadership for decision-making.
    • Track media coverage, press releases, and community outreach events to determine the firm’s impact and reach.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated on the latest marketing trends and technologies, continuously improving the effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment but not required.
  • To be considered for this role, candidates are required to submit a portfolio of past marketing and public relations projects. The portfolio must demonstrate expertise in strategic marketing campaigns, branding, and content development. Please include examples of successful initiatives, metrics, and any relevant creative assets.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting persuasive messaging and managing media interactions if needed.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide teams, ensuring the alignment of goals and completion of projects.
  • Creativity: Ability to think outside the box and generate innovative marketing and PR ideas.
  • Problem-solving: Quick decision-making ability, especially when managing crises or addressing challenges.
  • Digital Expertise: Knowledge of digital marketing tools, SEO, analytics, and social media platforms to drive engagement and visibility.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess data, measure campaign effectiveness, and adjust strategies accordingly.
