Summary
Lil Sunshine Child Care (LSCC) is a nonprofit center located in downtown Randolph. Our mission is to provide child-centered, quality care to children of families who live or work in Randolph, Braintree or Brookfield (the Orange Southwest School district). LSCC is committed to providing high quality care to eight infants and 10 toddlers, in an environment that promotes all aspects of development, is evidence based and includes an emphasis on outdoor experiences.
Duties
The Director position is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to support our community?s goals of having sustainable, quality infant and toddler child care. The Director will oversee the daily operations and program administration of the LSCC and manage a staff of five full time educators, one to two part-time staff, and substitutes. This role is 50% program administration and 50% teacher. Experience with both is preferred.
Daily tasks will include but not be limited to: maintaining enrollment and attendance reporting for Vermont?s state financial assistant program, assuring supplies are stocked and available for each classroom each day, general supervisory duties for staff members, and four hours of direct care.
Lastly, it is the goal of the LSCC Board for our center to earn at least four STARS (https://dcf.vermont.gov/cdd/providers/care/STARS) from the State of Vermont, to become a quality rated center as soon as possible. The guidance and expertise of the Director is paramount to success.

Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Must have 2 years of experience working with young children and supervising staff.
- Must meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a Vermont Early Childhood and Afterschool Program Director Step One
- Successful completion of a three credit college course in curriculum and a
education, or
- Three credit college course in staff supervision related to early care and
