Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting in completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software programs
- Responsible for assisting in implementing routine physical improvements
- Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
- Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
- Communicate effectively to appropriate individuals building status and changes
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times with tenants, hospital clients, co-workers, vendors, patients, etc.
- Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- High school graduate or GED preferred; technical school training in maintenance-related courses is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations
- Be able to take directions and follow instructions
- Must be safety conscious
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
- Basic aptitude for mathematics
- Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
