About the Position

The Account Executive exists to ensure accounts are achieving their objective to fully represent the Lilly Pulitzer brand in each market in an A manner, as well as providing operational support to the Wholesale channel. The AE will be responsible for sales for National / Major accounts and providing seasonal and / or annual inventory and receipt levels. This also includes providing direction and supporting the implementation of a comprehensive solution focused on achieving standards for visual merchandise presentation, customer relationships, and profitable inventory management.

A day in the life...

Account Portfolio Planning, Management, Strategy and achievement of Seasonal / Annual Sales Projections

  • Develop and achieve Annual / Seasonal Booking Budgets : The Account Executive's primary responsibility is developing and achieving annual and seasonal sales targets for each account. The AE will be responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal, and annual reporting for their portfolio. The Account Executive must demonstrate a deep understanding of the business and have a long-term vision for their business channel. The AE must have strong working knowledge of the National marketplace.
  • Go to Market 4x annually to drive initial bookings. The AE must work with the Wholesale team in planning market and ensure all accounts receive market information in a timely fashion. Joor, NuOrder and B2B selling tools must be maintained by the AE. The AE must ensure orders are received by the company deadline and are consistent with projections and product / marketing initiatives. In season, the AE must chase in season reorders / incremental sales while balancing financial health and sell throughs for the accounts. The AE will contribute to Post-Market recaps and analysis for their portfolio.
  • The AE must have strong relationships with buyers. They must maintain positive, consistent communication with buyers and various levels of leadership. It's the AE's responsibility to share account challenges and opportunities with their manager.

Brand Presentation and Marketing Opportunities :

  • The Account Executive will support each account in presenting the Brand's product in an appropriate environment. This may include travel to key accounts to ensure that they are provided with appropriate support. They are expected to visit stores and provide recaps, as needed. The Account Executive will need to work closely with the company's in-store merchandising staff to understand seasonal messages and opportunities.
  • The Account Executive will ideate and create new marketing opportunities that drive additional business within their account portfolio. They must build internal cross-department relationships. The AE must ensure accounts receive marketing content, image content and product copy in a timely manner.
  • Drive New Business :

  • The Account Executive will be responsible for driving new business. The AE must be curious and creative about testing new sales techniques, outreach, exploring Markets / tradeshows and driving innovation.
  • Support Account Portfolio Operations- The Account Executive will need to manage and execute operational tasks to support their portfolio. This includes managing chargebacks, order management, Dropship and Marketplace platforms, EDI, partnering with Oxford Credit, return authorizations, swaps, tracking information, and managing the channel's B2B order management tool. Supporting operations is essential for the success of the entire Wholesale channel.

    The Account Executive may be asked to perform duties that are outside the specific functions listed.

    Qualifications for the Position

  • Strong analytical skills and superior Excel skills.
  • Ideally the candidate will have at least 3 years of either selling / buying apparel, or Wholesale operational experience and have a proven record of success.

  • This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime. This position is eligible for standard company benefits.
  • This position is hybrid based, with regular travel required to our home office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Travel needs will be determined by your supervisor. Must be based in the Greater Philadelphia or Atlanta areas.
  • The position requires 30% domestic travel.
  • Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods.
  • This position is expected to collaborate effectively with other individuals in alignment with our Core Values and Core Leadership Qualities.
