Responsibilities:
- Prepare sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of sushi ingredients
- Stay updated on current culinary trends and techniques related to sushi preparation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation
- Proficient knife skills for precise cutting and slicing of ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of orders
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
