Who You Are…
As National Projects Superintendent, you are responsible for managing field and project operations on key MEP infrastructure projects the company executes for key national clients in accordance with contractual obligations, internal policies, and The Limbach Way. These high value projects are typically performed outside of Limbach’s local branch services areas and are complex and substantial in nature, usually involving infrastructure upgrades and renovations, and are performed in or around adjacent “mission critical” system environments which are essential to customer operations and therefore require highly specialized and technical execution project planning, team selection, quality control and customer communication skills.
This Position…
Some examples of the work you might do includes:
- Directs and oversees all aspects of on site performance as the Prime Contractor.
- Leads field operations with a core focus on our Safety culture and ecosystem, always evaluating the total environment as it relates to Limbach employees, subcontractors and partners, customers and other project partners.
- Leads field operations with a customer centric focus and makes operational decisions based on customer impact and overall customer experience / satisfaction.
- Develops and drives the overall project schedule for timely completion and satisfaction of customer goals.
- Manages and directs all aspects of on site performance in accordance with the project schedule and customers expectations.
- Manages and directs all subcontractors, vendors and related project partners.
- Develops project specific site plans to facilitate safe and efficient execution.
- Partners with Project Management to support best in class and proactive customer communication, including customer expectations meetings, weekly OAC meetings, monthly project updates and communications, as required per the Limbach core processes to keep customers and teams aligned and informed.
- Skillfully leads and navigates field operations in complex, mission critical infrastructure environments with potential for elevated customer impact and/or safety and risk related profiles with experience and a calculated approach.
- Oversees the total construction effort in accordance with design, budget, quality, and schedule on the assigned active construction projects.
- Provides technical assistance as needed for all operations to ensure compliance with the contract.
- Develops and maintains relationships with internal/external clients and key stakeholders.
- Collaborates with project managers and subcontractors to create site logistics plans.
- Monitors cost, and makes adjustments as needed.
- Communicates and enforces the Safety and Health Management Program.
- Demonstrates commitment to Limbach’s Hearts & Minds culture through personal accountability and mentoring.
- Prepares detailed short-term schedules and ensures activities take place on/ahead of scheduled dates.
- Develops and publishes daily and weekly reports to ensure the highest level of safety and quality for the project.
- Coordinates training and education to promote subcontractor safety accountability.
- Attends OAC meetings to clearly communicate project schedule and project coordination items directly with the owner.
- Conducts and leads weekly subcontractor scheduling, safety and coordination meetings.
- Directs and manages site logistics and coordination with the facility.
- Coordinates and communicates day-to-day activities with building owners.
What You Need…
- 8 years of relevant experience (including industry and construction execution).
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Current OSHA 30-hour Certification.
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and Google products.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate with diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with the requirements of drawings, specifications, and terms/conditions of project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Must be fluent and able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
- Ability to travel frequently between job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Rigging and Signaling Certification.
- Forklift Certification.
- Aerial and Scissor Lift Certification.
- College or technical education.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.

Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily on a project location, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
- Work tasks necessitate travel to local job sites/field locations, which means exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.
- Depending on the work location, the incumbent may be exposed to extreme temperatures, inclement weather, noise, poor ventilation/lighting, and other hazards or conditions typically associated with a construction job site.
Physical Demands:
- In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
