Job Title: CTE JROTC INSTRUCTOR
Supervised by/Reports to: Career Technical Center Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Goals:
Qualifications:
1. State of Alabama J.R.O.T.C. Certificate issued by Alabama State Department of Education.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
1. Utilizes and follows the state course of study.
2. Determines individual and class needs.
3. Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences.
4. Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
5. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
6. Exhibits positive human relations skills.
7. Evaluates student progress.
8. Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
9. Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
10. Maintains and submits records and reports.
11. Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
12. Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
13. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands to finger, to handle, or feel objects, equipment, or controls. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, squat, crouch and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Salary: Salary to be established by The Limestone County School’s District Salary Schedule.
Terms of Employment: 202 or 240 Days
