What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Secondary position at Limon Public Schools?
The Successful candidate must meet most or all of these qualifications:
· Possess Colorado Initial or Professional Principal License (or be eligible for the same or enrollment in Alternate Principal Program, to include state approved Teacher Evaluator Training).
· Evidence of successful leadership experience, preferably in both elementary and secondary education and in a rural or small school setting.
· Strong understanding of current teaching strategies and instructional techniques related to formative and summative assessment and evaluation.
· Working knowledge of computer software related to all aspects of a school leadership position.
· Knowledge of strategic planning processes and ability to follow through on them.
· Ability to communicate, organize, and promote an effective building level discipline and attendance program.
· Preferred Master’s Degree or higher with a focus on education leadership.
· Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience.
· Other qualifications as are acceptable to the superintendent of schools, and board of education.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
