We are currently recruiting to fill a Member Relations Director to support our members in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and Missouri. 

The Member Relations Director has responsibility for driving overall engagement, awareness and utilization of services, and retention of membership for LIMRA LOMA. They are accountable for overall growth of their assigned accounts and will serve as the primary relationship owner, within an integrated team, for an assigned group of top tier member accounts with responsibility for engagement, utilization, retention and growth of services and commercial solutions. This is done with a focus on expanding and deepening relationships with existing members and senior management contacts by continuously identifying and understanding customer needs, proposing solutions, effectively responding to objections, and thus generating account and revenue growth

Primary Functions
  • Identify and gain access to key decision makers (including C-Suite) for managed accounts
  • Create and deepen strong relationships with enterprise-level decision-makers
  • Generate meetings that can drive new revenue and expose members to the full suite of LLG products
  • Collaborate with Member Solutions Directors and other Member Relations Directors to increase utilization of products and services within and across business verticals
  • Effectively lead the account planning process
  • Develop and achieve sales plans that increase member value and revenue
  • Manage and lead various study groups, committees, and conferences appropriate for the group of members
  • Recruit new members for appropriate committee and study group
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead member engagement initiatives
  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and management of various member events with other team members
  • Share knowledge from member companies that will enhance product offerings or influence research projects.
  • Negotiate effective agreements
  • Track and monitor all activity and key contact data through Salesforce

  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree or equivalent work experience in business related or communications field
  • 10 years experience in applicable industry with an emphasis on annuities and retirement with strong life insurance knowledge
  • 10 years experience in relationship-management/account management/sales skills
  • Ability to travel to member companies (50%)
