Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Coordinator
Job Summary
As a Preventative Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the preventative maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment at our Southfield automotive machining facility. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all equipment is maintained to maximize operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and contribute to the continued success of our production operations.
Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage the preventive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Develop and schedule routine maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and production staff to address and resolve maintenance-related issues in a timely manner.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues to identify underlying causes and develop appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all safety protocols and standards are met during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast maintenance needs based on production schedules.Recommend and implement improvements to the preventative maintenance program to enhance equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance, repairs, or services as needed. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to support the continuous improvement of the maintenance program.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance coordinator or similar role within a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing equipment and processes, specifically related to machining.
- Experience with preventative maintenance software and scheduling tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
