Job Title : Engineering Technician
Job Summary : The Engineering Technician is responsible for providing support with day-to-day manufacturing issues, waste reduction initiatives and new product launches in a CNC machining facility.
Responsibility :
- Provide technical support for production floor.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues.
- Support Tool Setters in dialing in machines after changes,as required
- Complete tool life studies, sample product, and tooling, as required.
- Read and interpret part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts.
- Support new tooling trials and improve existing tooling for machining processes.
- Monitor shop floor practices.
- Aid in cell installation.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous activities as requested by Management.
- Travel to other plants required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Academic / Educational Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Required Skills / Experience :
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CNC machining environment.
Previous experience and proficiency in CNC machine operations, tool setting and making CNC tool height djustments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Blueprint reading skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Act with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
