Title : Assistant Superintendent
Exemption Status : Exempt
About the Role
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for planning and managing the construction site to ensure that the work is completed to safety and quality standards and stipulated contractual obligations. Utilizing knowledge of building methods, materials, and sequencing, the Assistant Superintendent provides daily oversite to direct the activities of Company and subcontractor personnel. The Assistant Superintendent may be assigned to a specific scope within a large project, or they may be the lead superintendent on smaller engagements ranging from $500k to $2m.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business and the successful completion of one or more internship assignments, each lasting 3 or more months
- Or, 3 or more years of construction project work experience with a high school diploma or GED, including a minimum of 2 years as a field supervisor
Primary Duties
Evaluate drawings and specifications to ensure the project / assigned scope is meets contractual obligationsCreate, maintain, and execute the Linbeck Site Specific Safety Program, including BBS, JHA Review, Safety Walks, and SSSPCreate and maintain the Crisis Management PlanManage Labor Production and other Daily ReportsCreate, maintain, and execute the Site Utilization, Logistics, and Phasing PlansEstablish, communicate, and implement the schedule for assigned area of responsibility with the ability to monitor and update schedules for progressSet priorities, pre-plan activities, and communicate expectations with Company field employees and / or subcontractorsSupervise craft field employees or subcontractors to achieve schedule, profit, productivity, quality, and safety objectives using Lean Operating SystemsPerform field engineering functions when neededAnalyze construction problems and develop practical alternative solutionsPhysical Requirements
Must be physically fit enough to function safely on a project site and office setting. This includes the following :
