Program Overview : The Lincoln Center Summer Internship is a paid, 10-week, in-person arts administration internship for NYC undergraduate students passionate about the performing arts. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders in the field by providing hands-on experience and professional development opportunities.

In the programming department, interns will have a chance to support the programming team in upcoming spring events and showcases and Lincoln Center's beloved Summer for the City festival. Interns will be given insights into artist management and program curation for a large-scale, recurring summer festival that services the community of artists and patrons of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. You'll learn project and time management, how to manage concurrent projects, problem solving skills, and insights into artist management and programming curation. Interns will also be able to survey and interpret project briefs, independently create emails and performance materials, and analyze performance data to implement feedback.

What you'll get to do :

  • Assist the Programming team with planning and executing spring programming and Lincoln Center's Summer for the City festival.
  • Meet and greet performing artists assist with wayfinding and servicing hospitality
  • Provide day-of-show support to Artist Services Managers and Line Producers, helping with on-site coordination and event tasks.
  • Assist with stock management and help with receipt reconciliation to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Perform administrative tasks including summer budgeting, drafting project briefs, and managing email correspondence.
  • Support ticketing and VIP services on show days to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees.
  • You'll be a great fit if :

  • You are a rising college junior, or senior, or equivalent
  • You are based in New York City or the Greater New York region
  • You are available 25 hours / week from June 2025 - August 2025
  • You are available from Wednesday to Sunday
  • You are interested in artistic programming and interacting with artists
  • Your strengths include self-initiation and working on a team
  • You have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with artists and staff members alike
  • You are comfortable handling multiple projects at the same time and meeting deadlines as needed
  • You are comfortable working independently after initial onboarding and support
  • You like to work with teams, are organized, and strive for innovation, adaptability to different situations, inclusivity, and knowledge about your job
