What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health position at Lincoln County?
The Behavioral Health department is looking to add a Medical Assistant to their team.
The person in this position will perform a wide variety of paraprofessional medical and mental health support duties, including assisting in the identification of patient needs through screening, interviewing, and observation and in implementing care or treatment plans.
This role is also responsible for preparing patients for procedures and examinations and assisting in the effective delivery of health care to patients by providing support services, including laboratory tests, vital signs, maintenance of patient records, obtaining and entering demographic data and billing information, scheduling appointments, and generally maintaining clinic flow.

High School /GED
Minimum Experience Level
6 months or more of health and/or service-related experience required.
Certifications
First aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hire. The employee is required to maintain current and active certifications, as applicable, and to provide copies of the appropriate verifications at the time of renewals.
Driver’s License
Oregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.
Desirable Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a health care setting is preferred. Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are preferred.
