The Product Manager, Equipment will be responsible for owning the portfolio strategy and driving the growth of Harris Products Group portfolio of equipment products. The scope will include market research, product life cycle management, business case development, new product conception and development, and product launch.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expertise – Tasked with developing an in-depth understanding of the HPG Gas Equipment portfolio and value proposition by partnering with internal and external SMEs
- Market Research – Manage an ongoing research process to capture voice of customer information, industry trends, competitive intelligence and more
- New Product Conception and Business Case Development – In collaboration (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, etc), identify insight-driven new product concepts or product iterations that leverage the HPG capabilities and meets a market need, driving value creation to drive incremental sales and profitable growth. Build out the business case for development and the product specifications and success criteria.
- New Product Development – Work with R&D engineering team as Marketing / Business stakeholder throughout the new product development process
- New Product Launch Project Management – Act as a key player in collaboration with R&D, Sales and Marketing, in creating and managing launch strategies, timelines and project plans.
- Product Training & Support – Provide technical product support for end-users, distributors and Lincoln personnel on relevant product lines
- Product Lifecycle Management –managing the product portfolio from inception, through launch, on-going sales, and end of life exit planning, including portfolio right-sizing and rationalization
- Financial Analysis – Basic to intermediate financial acumen to monitor financial performance and new product launch ROI versus business case
- Strategic Planning – Develop recommendations for a 3 to 5 year product roadmap and lifecycle
- Teamwork – Collaborate and work together with a dynamic team that has a shared goal of achieving exemplary results for the business. Key points of collaboration will be required with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance and Supply Chain.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to operate with moderate level of oversight and direction, managing timelines and deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and gather insight from HPG SMEs and customer partners as well as gain buy-in
