What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant, Internal Talent Mobility position at Lincoln Financial Group?
What you'll be doing
- Partners with T&EX leadership to define employee mobility across Lincoln and its workforce segments (non-exempt, professional, and managerial) to guide construction of a viable, relevant, and valuable program.
- Develops and maintains strong key stakeholder relationships as they relate to Lincoln’s internal mobility program.
- Integrates internal mobility program effectively across T&EX, talent acquisition, DEI to broadly build representative and qualified internal talent pools and pipelines for internal movement opportunities.
- Partners with learning functions to understand core capabilities and skills that enable employees at different levels and career stages to prepare to progress within Lincoln for career growth.
- Coordinates with HR Operations and HR Technology to create a digitally accessible and easy to use platform for internal talent to use to enhance their profiles and search for and acquire new roles within Lincoln.
- Partners with key internal stakeholders to drive awareness of our internal mobility strategy and program once implemented and consistent with our employer brand, employee experience, and inclusion focus.
- Contributes to the development of clear policies and processes around internal mobility resource usage, access, eligibility, and movement.
- Develops measurement / KPI framework to prove program return-on-investment.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments / trends around internal mobility best practices, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
- Identifies and recommends the implementation of process improvements for Lincoln’s internal mobility program.
- Designs and develops instructional and / or awareness materials (tutorials, job aids, reference guides, audio / video scripts, story boards, navigational text, tests, etc.) that simplify and effectively provide instruction on increasingly complex information or concepts.
- Serves as a resource to the HR community for internal mobility resources and processes and consult on approaches to best leverage tools to support business needs.
- Collaborates with HR Partners and other stakeholders to develop ‘just-in time’ training and experiences to meet talent-specific needs of business clients.
- Participates in more complex talent projects; including but not limited to consultation, needs analysis, planning, design / development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments / trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
- Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and / or departmental / enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal / external stakeholders on more complex assignments / projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Consults / Analyze on more complex assignments and / or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
