Our team of talented individuals work together to create beautiful workspaces for businesses, schools, healthcare facilities and government agencies. We are seeking a full-time project coordinator to join us in our Peoria, IL showroom office.
Overview
As a Project Coordinator you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and timely completion of a variety of customer orders. You will work closely with our internal teams, manufacturing partners and service providers on projects primarily located in Illinois, Iowa and Indiana. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming customer calls and emails
- Assist the sales team in preparing quotes for customers ensuring accurate product details
- Track and coordinate various aspects of orders with manufacturers, contractors, and customers
- Communicate with subcontractors to schedule product installation that meets customer expectations
- Maintain accurate order information in the system including expected delivery and install dates
- Provide current order status to customers as required
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of orders
- Review internal order status report daily
- Identify and resolve any project issues or conflicts that may arise
- Manage order documentation and ensure all files are organized and accessible
- Maintain working knowledge of basic products for key furniture manufacturers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- High attention to detail
Additional Notes
- Reports to Director of Sales (IL/IA)
- Some travel may be required
- 40-hour work week Monday through Friday, plus whatever time is required to accomplish job responsibilities
- Hybrid role based in Peoria, IL. Allows flexibility for working from home and in the office with the expectation of an average of 3 in-office days per week.
