What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified, School Counselor, School and Family Community Outreach, 1.0 FTE position at Lincoln Public Schools?
Lincoln Public Schools is seeking a candidate who is innovative in their approaches to supporting our students' and families' personal, social and academic needs. Must be able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders in a dynamic learning community that celebrates success but strives for excellence. This person will refer and connect students, school staff, and families to community resources to reduce barriers resulting in absenteeism. In fostering these partnerships, you will :
- Actively engage and collaborate with family members and community stakeholders.
- Encourage and promote academic and social / emotional development.
- Incorporate existing and establish school, family, and community strengths, resources, and assets.
- Foster resilience through partnerships and family engagement strategies to empower your students and school community.
- Identify and analyze barriers hindering consistent student attendance.
- Develop and implement targeted strategies to address challenges related to individual students' regular daily attendance to school.
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
