Night Custodian
2nd Shift 3:00 - 11:30 PM
Monday-Friday with potential OT as required.
Union/benefited Position
Salary: $24.15 (Step 1)
Lincoln Public Schools is in search of a building custodian to perform routine manual work in connection with the care and maintenance of school buildings and grounds.
Duties include:
* Clean classrooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and other areas as needed
* Maintain building supplies for use by students, faculty, and staff
* Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to equipment and buildings as needed
* Secure buildings at the end of the shift
* Clear snow and ice on campus walkways and grounds
* Set up and breakdown classrooms and meeting rooms as needed
* Report major repair or building operation systems problems to Facilities Manager
* Perform other related duties within the scope of the custodial function as requested by the supervisor
* Perform all work in accordance with safety standards
* Position reports directly to Facilities Manager and Head Custodian
Qualifications:
* Completion of high school education or equivalent education and/or experience.
* Minimum of two years relevant experience preferred.
* General knowledge of cleaning materials and methods.
* Ability to perform moderately heavy manual labor, including lift and carry 50 lbs.
* Ability to climb step and extension ladders.
* Some level of mechanical ability preferred.
