Project Accountant - LOOP
Our client, a leading organization in the construction industry, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Project Accountant will act as a critical link between project management and accounting.
Responsibilities include :
- Oversee project setup, budget entry, and issuance of subcontracts / purchase orders.
- Draft and issue change orders for clients
- Conduct project audits
- Review job billing status reports to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Prepare and submit monthly pay applications to clients.
- Create time and material tickets as needed.
- Collect and manage certified payroll documentation for designated projects.
- Collaborate with Project Accounting Assistants to ensure timely delivery of invoicing documents.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports for assigned projects and follow up with customers on payments, escalating issues when necessary.
- Identify and communicate budget variances to project and accounting management.
- Approve accounts payable invoices, when assigned.
