ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT support specialist provides technical IT assistance to the organization. Duties will include ensuring optimal use of hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, and securing data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the major responsibilities including:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
- Collaborate with other IT group colleagues with local and US projects
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
- 4-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
- Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
