Role Essentials
As a member of the Accounting Department, the Manager Finance Compliance, SOX is primarily responsible for driving the compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) across the organization. This position will also assist with the Company's external (SEC) reporting requirements, and as part of a small finance organization, become involved with re-financings, acquisitions and other strategic activities as the opportunities arise.
Role Responsibilities
- SOX COMPLIANCE
- Work closely with the Corporate Controller to monitor and coordinate all aspects of our SOX compliance program.
- Work with internal and external audit to develop and implement our annual SOX plan.
- Coordinate required SOX deliverables with internal / external audit and various control owners within the company to ensure timely delivery of all required information.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating control deficiency risks, mitigation strategies, and tracking remediation to completion.
- Provide regular status updates of our SOX testing and timeline.
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly SOX slides for the Audit Committee presentation.
- Evaluate the annual control matrix and work with internal audit to finalize any required changes.
- SEC REPORTING
- Serve as a key member of the SEC reporting team and process, including but not limited to assisting in the preparation of Form 10-K / 10-Qs and 8-K filings, and earnings releases.
- Responsible for maintaining data flows between accounting systems and the Company's SEC reporting tool
- Assist in iXBRL tagging process for all SEC filings.
- Assist in preparing supporting documentation and schedules for financial statements including footnotes and MD&A.
- Assist with the execution of the financial statement audit.

This role is eligible for an annual 7.5% bonus, based on performance.

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor / prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region / town / cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee / candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
