Scope:
Under minimal direction from Supervision a technician performs a variety of duties to refurbish all types of Gaseous and Cryogenic storage Units and related equipment.
Duties:
The Technician should be capable of the following tasks:
- Follows all Company Safety Policies, without exception.
- Practices and is Committed to off the job Safety Program.
- Communicates well with Internal and External Customers.
- Understands the Team Concept and works well with others.
- Reads and follows flow diagrams and construction prints.
- Knowledgeable regarding Cryogenic/Refrigeration Systems and their components. (This includes but is not limited to: D/P Gauge, Tracker, Regulators, valves, Solenoid Valves, Gas Analyzers, Cryo-Storage Vacuum Systems, Mixers, Vaporizers, Pumping Systems, Pipe and Fittings, Refrigeration Units, or has some background regarding these components)
- Safely refurbish all types of equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, manifolds, etc.) at our plant location.
- Instruct and supervise outside personnel, such as Crane, and Trucking to assist in
- Loading and unloading equipment.
- Brazing, TIG-MIG, and Stick Welding, Soldering as required on all pressure rated components.
- Knowledgeable regarding pressure testing procedures.
- Knowledgeable of cleaning procedures for components in Oxygen service.
- Knows and practices Defensive driving technique.
- Completes all paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Uses basic Computer for communicating and time entry.
Job descriptions are written in a general format and include sufficient duties to determine the level and/or degree of skill and knowledge a person possess. The responsibility of performing these duties lies with the employee, a performance-based annual review will be held to determine efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Pipe fitting, repair of mechanical and electrical systems experiences preferred.
