Position Overview
Linde Inc is currently seeking a Reliability Mechanical Specialist who will be based at our Deer Park, TX location. This position will report to the Southern Reliability Center Superintendent and will work with regional and plant personnel to achieve reliability goals.
The objective of the Mechanical Reliability Specialist is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our production facilities. The Mechanical Reliability Specialist will be responsible for the identifying and completing planned and unplanned maintenance work on rotating and mechanical equipment at multiple facilities within the South region to support Air Separation, CO2 and Hydrogen production facilities. This person will work independently, make technical decisions, and escalate technical concerns in the field.
Pay range: $85-100K
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on various machinery and equipment.
- Utilize CAD software to draft designs and schematics for mechanical systems.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess structural integrity and performance.
- Develop and implement control systems using logic controllers and Arduino.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve existing designs and processes.
- Create detailed documentation of repairs, modifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Utilize LabView for data acquisition and system control as needed.
- Work with MATLAB for simulations and analysis of mechanical systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the engineering field.
- Proficiency in mechanical design principles, including experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with drafting techniques and the ability to read technical schematics.
- Knowledge of FEA methodologies for analyzing mechanical components.
- Experience with Arduino programming for automation projects is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies in mechanics.
