We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable functions and assisting with payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting and payroll procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all incoming invoices and match them with purchase orders and receipts for approval.
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
- Manage vendor communications, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Ensure timely payment of all outstanding invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable and payroll.
- Maintain accurate records for financial audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Assist with tax filings and other payroll-related compliance requirements.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll and vendor payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance preferred).
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive payroll information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in payroll or accounting (e.g., CPP, FPC).
- Experience with state compliance and reporting.
