What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Lindner Animal Hospital?
- Seeking a reliable and experienced full time Vet Tech with strong work ethic for a fast paced small animal hospital.
- Must be able to work some holidays.
- Pay is based on experience.
- Vet Tech responsibilities include: drawing blood, placing IV catheters, assisting in surgery & dental procedures, and monitoring anesthesia. Good animal restraint skills required. Assisting with patient exams/appointments. Setting up and reading in-house cytologies, cleaning/autoclaving surgical instruments. Giving vaccines, IV fluids and other injections, running in-house bloodwork and heartworm tests, as well as, taking radiographs. Monitor general patient care and recovery from anesthesia. Entering patient charges, collecting payments from clients, and occasionally helping answer phones.
- General cleaning duties including, but not limited to: laundry, sweeping/mopping, and cleaning kennels in hospital, sanitizing of hospital/reception and keeping everything neat and tidy.
- Must be well organized, have strong multi-tasking skills, great customer service skills, a positive attitude, and be a team player.
- General computer skills and basic phone etiquette needed

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
