Aquatic Program Instructor
General Duties:
Under the close supervision of the Aquatics Assistant Manager (WSI/Programs), the Aquatic Program Instructor will plan and operate various programs and classes at the
Aquatics Center.
Essential Job Functions:
Plan, organize, and run the different programs that fits to a variety of different participants
Greet members, have an upbeat positive attitude, be motivated and energetic, teach and build skills, water safety topics, etc.
Work with management to ensure proper equipment is provide for the class
Additionally, employees will be required to assist staff and perform other related work duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a minimum of 16 years old to apply
Hold a current First-Aid/CPR/AED Certification or able to obtain re-certification within a month of hiring
The facility will certify in First-Aid/CPR/AED if applicant does not currently hold certification
The ideal candidate should possess the knowledge and experience in water classes and programs to present and implement a variety of aquatic programs
Experience:
Must have communication skills to communicate effectively and efficiently with the participants and other water fitness teaching experience.
At least one year of Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguarding, or leadership experience
Preferred Experience:
Optional certifications and experience include Lifeguard certification and other Water Aerobics Instruction or Aquatic Program experience (ASFA, Aqua Zumba License, etc.)
Schedule:
This position works a variety of different times and schedule will be determined upon hiring. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be included.

Pay Scale: $10.26/hour (Seasonal Range 1, $10.26-$13.68) DOE
