Overview: We are a trusted HR Firm providing comprehensive payroll solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and assist in managing and processing payroll for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in a fast-paced payroll environment.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for multiple clients. You will serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and work closely with both internal teams and external clients to resolve payroll discrepancies, ensure compliance, and enhance client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Input, validate, and audit payroll data, including wages, overtime, PTO, deductions, and benefits.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and perform post-payroll audits to ensure the integrity of client payrolls.
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of payroll taxes, and support the preparation and submission of quarterly and year-end tax filings (e.g., 941, W-2, etc.).
- Manage employee records, including new hires, terminations, and payroll changes such as direct deposit setups and garnishments.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll integration with client systems.
- Stay current on industry trends and recommend process improvements to enhance client service.
Experience/Education/Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in a service bureau or multi-client payroll processing environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems: experience with Paycor and iSolved.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions: Business office environment/Sedentary - Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
