Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the Executive Director and maintaining office systems, with an emphasis on resident relations.
Qualifications:
· A sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly and/or disabled persons.
· Possess skills to communicate effectively with those you may supervise or those to whom you report and with residents and their families.
· Possesses a preferred minimum amount of 1 years’ experience working with the senior population.
· Must pass a criminal background check.
· Possesses an Assisted Living Director License or having willingness to obtain
· Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in the preferred areas Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management, or Business.
· Has a preferred amount of 3-5 years of management or healthcare related experience.
· Having assumed a managerial role that was responsible for multiple disciplines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft Outlook.
· Possessing excellent communication and language skills.
· Must be screened for TB.
Responsibilities:
· Leading by example is critical to develop positive working relationships with supervisors, staff, residents, resident representatives and volunteers;
· Provides organizational structure and ensures effective and efficient daily operations.
· Responsible for establishing and maintaining the professional image of the community with a warm and friendly environment;
· An active part in leadership and shares responsibility of operation of a 24/7 community, including a willingness to be ‘on call’ for emergencies;
· Ensures that all components of the customer service delivery program are accomplished
· Participates in quality programs including customer satisfaction surveys to ensure quality standards are met;
· Creates, plans and implements community marketing program that incorporates all customers: residents, families, referral sources and staff with sufficient quality to create a competitive edge;
· Represents the building at community events and events held in surrounding communities;
· Responsible for creating and achieving occupancy goals and include innovative marketing strategies in the marketing plan to meet those. Ensures minimum turnaround time for vacated apartments;
· Provides tours and explanation of services to potential clients, families and referrals and managing the wait list with prospective parties;
· Respectful and partnered relationship with the Nursing Department to ensure tenancy admission process is smooth and meets expectations of the community and customer;
· Possesses knowledge on MN Statutes on comprehensive home care and all applicable laws;
· Oversees the residency requirements and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable Minnesota Statute Laws;
· Relationship with all departments to ensure the new residents expectations are met in apartment quality, dining experience, nursing services and community life;
· Assists with the admission process and transition periods with each resident, including gathering relevant information and documentation;
· Participates in resident care conferences upon admission and annually;
· Coordinates with the appropriate positions, as necessary, when a resident is having difficulty meeting the residency requirements or when the resident’s needs are likely to exceed the services available from the arranged home care agency;
· Maintain resident files meeting expectations set in policy;
· Completes monthly statements for residents, including responsibility for Accounts Receivable, aging and collections;
· Receives and receipts payments;
· Updates and distributes various monthly entries, lists, reports, and rosters appropriately;
· Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records;
· Other duties as assigned.
