In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a tractor to switch containers between the shipping dock and yard parking area, while also monitoring equipment to maintain operational standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Inspect equipment before each use to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Operate reefer units to maintain safe temperatures during transportation.
- Maintain genset fuel levels to prevent equipment downtime.
- Safely move containers using precision driving skills and knowledge of warehouse layout.
- Perform tasks requiring physical stamina, such as lifting and moving containers.
- Monitor equipment condition and report any issues to management.
- Ensure all security protocols are followed when handling containers.
