Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting wheelchair passengers safely and efficiently. This role requires the ability to navigate different routes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely transportation of passengers according to scheduled routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety.
- Load and unload wheelchair patient
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Assist in patient/member pick ups and drop offs as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or passengers.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to utilize wheelchairs and ensure safety by hooking and unhooking wheelchairs securely.
- Experience with paratransit services is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and delivery operations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to push up to 300 lbs
