Position: Customer Service Representative
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
This position is a temp to hire after the completion of a 90 day probation period.
The primary purpose of this position?
Handle a high volume of calls and process payments.
Essential Functions:
- Attain working knowledge of the Client’s processes and requirements and be able to communicate this in a professional matter.
- Ability to effectively handle calls while maintaining the client’s and Firm’s standards.
- Handle large volume of inbound calls.
- Resolve disputes.
- Collect balance or set up an appropriate payment plan.
- All other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or walk and use hands and fingers to operate office equipment (computer and printer) or other office tools, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Bilingual a plus.
- Successfully overcoming objections in a short period of time.
Knowledge, skills and abilities will be necessary for this position to succeed:
- Talking to others to convey information effectively and professionally.
- Must be able to efficiently navigate through the CUB’s system.
- Well organized in taking and processing payments.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Supervisory responsibilities and independent discretion:
- Assist in training new collectors.
Special requirements for this position:
- Punctuality and good attendance is necessary for handling the high volume of calls.
- Working independently and productively without close supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
