Our client is looking for a Software Procurement Specialist to help manage its software procurement approval process.
This position will focus on facilitating and processing the software requests received, ensuring that there is good communication with customers throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a complex approval process and the ability to process any backlog requests quickly.

This position will focus on facilitating and processing the software requests received, ensuring that there is good communication with customers throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a complex approval process and the ability to process any backlog requests quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as an overall point of contact and subject matter expert for the software procurement approval process and its underlying policies and processes
- Meeting with a diverse group of stakeholders to help ensure timely processing and approval of software requests
- Reviewing, interpreting, and providing input on software license agreements and other software-related contractual documents
- Working directly with customers to document and process software procurement requests
- Facilitating any requests for additional information that may arise during the approval process
- Overall tracking and managing of the backlog of requests
- Gathering, preparing, and submitting information and documentation to the various approvers throughout the approval process
- Researching whether there is already current software in use that would meet the documented business needs
- 2 years full-time experience managing projects
- 3 years full-time experience dealing directly with customers
- Strong software licensing and procurement experience is required
- Strong leadership, organizational skills and excellent customer service skills
