Store Manager - The Lingle Corporation
Purpose:
This position functions as the person in charge of the Lingle Corporation Save A Lot grocery store. The role is to provide leadership in operating the entire store in a manner that maximizes sales and profits. This position owns the responsibility to hire, train, and develop all store employees. The Store Manager will ensure that all Lingle Corporation policies and procedures are in place and that store conditions are consistent and maintained in accordance with the Lingle Corporation standards of operation. The Store Manager must demonstrate wall to wall ownership and excellent problem solving skills.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Provide leadership and selecting, coaching, and developing store associates and department managers. The Store Manager will create a positive work environment for both employees and customers. This includes progressive disciplinary action as detailed the Lingle Company policy and procedures, which are consistent across all stores and all associates in their employ. The Store Manager will adhere to the company scheduling guidelines at all times.
The Store Manager should strive to meet and exceed sales, shrink, and labor budgets. Direct actions to ensure appropriate expense allocations (supplies etc.). Provide support and instruction for all associates through daily interaction, one on one communication, and team building engagement. The Store Manager will team with the District Manager to develop and provide strategic direction for improvement in the stores operating environment.
Responsible for the visual presentation of merchandise as described by the VP and DM, including store layout and displays. Maintain a high standard of operation for customers which includes a safe, clean, well-stocked place to shop. This includes managing inventory levels to specific metrics of the store to ensure quality, freshness, and in stock conditions each day. Special emphasis will be placed on all ad merchandise.
Financial metrics as budgeted must be attained. These include, yet are not limited to; sales, gross profit, labor expense, shrink, and supplies. Accurate and timely completion of all surveys, field level requests, action plans, safety, and customer concerns. All policies as defined, but not limited to: scheduling (including all departments and all associates) dress code, banking timelines, employee purchasing, earned breaks, load over and shorts, daily id loss, and store cleaning schedules. All DSD receiving and invoicing, including linen policies must be strictly followed. Designated smoking and parking are as designed and not subject to stores or personal indiscretion. Ensures that company security, cash handling, inventory, and loss prevention policies are fully implemented daily
Responsible for creating effective individual development plans and actively coaching store management to facilitate professional growth. Develop corrective action plans to facilitate performance improvements where necessary.
Protect company property, funds, and merchandise always.

Must have prior experience at the Store Manager level

Must be 18 years of age.
A positive attitude coupled with relevant experience at a Store Manager level.
Effective communication skills.
Must be dependable and flexible based on the needs of the business.
Physical Requirements:
Most work is performed in a temperature controlled environment with a standard temperature of 38-45 degrees.
Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift, and transport various objects weighing up to 30lbs or more repeatedly throughout the shift. At times product may weigh as much as 100lbs.
Must have the ability to stand, walk, and/or move for extended periods of time
Requires the ability to push, pull, grasp and use cutting and sawing motions for extended periods of time.
