Linglestown Early Learning Center is looking for a great, creative Director. Love for children and this field is a must. LELC is a 100-child center in the village of Linglestown. The center opened 8 years ago and has a staff of 18-20 teachers. LELC is looking for a director who can work with families and staff to ensure the children’s success. Owners are hands on and local to provide support and assistance daily.
Experience with Keystone Stars and Teaching Strategies is preferred but not required.
Experience in a management role of childcare is required.
Degree in ECE is preferred. Human Services degree required
Director is required to have a director's credential or be willing to enroll to earn one.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating and caring for children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs
- Supervise and support staff in daily operations
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
- Manage budget, enrollment, and staffing needs
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related human service field required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and behavior management techniques
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Experience in supervision of adults
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
