Link Hospitality is looking for a motivated person that can successfully perform a Food and Beverage Supervisor position.
Responsabilities:
- Duties and Functions:
- Promote pool business and continually increase database contacts
- Ensure the Pool Ethos is in line with property’s standards and are consistently maintained
- Ensure and promote compliance with all local liquor, health, and sanitation regulations
- Manage and provide direction to all Pool employees on the floor during shifts and events
- Hold staff accountable to uphold uniform and grooming standards to the highest level
- Ensure that staff receives consistent and proper communication (verbal, email, hot schedules)
- Monitor departments performance with respect to the pool’s budget
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory to ensure it is in line with budgeted cost of sales
- Work in tandem with management to produce events to generate revenues for the property
- Hold staff accountable for giving an engaging dynamic guest experience to all guests on property through monitoring quality of service and execution
- Collaborate on needs of departamental staff scheduling
- Instruct staff in on-going training to uphold service standards
- Act as the direct liaison to the Engineering and Housekeeping Departments in regard to maintenance of the property’s functionality and overall look
- Interview employees and provide input on talent selection
- Assess employee performance and provide feedback annually and throughout the year
- Oversee pool and beach team, and maintain accountability for job execution standards
OTHER DUTIES
Assimilate into the property’s culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all the property’s elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the property from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities, and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift in outdoor conditions
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Qualifications:
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential risk to health or safety. The restaurant will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is the subject’s responsibility to report defective, damaged, or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to the Manager.
Requires ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes, and the ability to load and unload small and large boxes as needed. Must have ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 pounds with appropriate equipment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of operational experience in a high-end hospitality/restaurant industry is highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related field preferred
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
- Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relation
