- Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Systems Analyst 3 to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with the following:- Proficient in database management systems, workflows, and data migration, with a strong focus on healthcare EHR systems; skilled in scripting, extracting data in HL7 format, and mapping it to target systems.
- Experienced in working with the Oracle Cerner Millennium database and utilizing Cerner Command Language (CCL) for data extraction scripting, which is essential for seamless data migration to new SaaS platforms.
- Expert in business analysis, including assessing user requirements, operational processes, and identifying solutions to automate tasks or improve system functionality.
- Well-versed in the EHR application domain, with a deep understanding of current systems, conducting workflow analysis, and creating, designing, programming, and supporting workflows using best software engineering practices.
- Skilled in documenting process flows, standardizing existing and future workflows, and leading data collection efforts in collaboration with subject matter experts to fully understand system usability and document workflows.
- Experienced in preparing specifications for data input/output processes and resolving complex data-related challenges through strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, essential for producing clear documentation and effectively engaging with stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.
- Well-versed in architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structures.
- Proven ability to resolve complex data-related issues using analytical and logical approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and foster high productivity and collaboration among team members.
PREFERRED
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with the following:- Experienced with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates, with a solid understanding of the company's information architecture and information management methodologies.
- Proficient in Agile Scrum methodology, with a proven ability to apply it effectively to projects and development processes.
- Prior experience with SaaS-based EHR systems and cloud data migrations, ensuring seamless integration and data transfer within healthcare environments.
- Familiar with the current and future software technology landscape, including global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
- Extensive experience in regulatory compliance and data security concerning healthcare data, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safeguarding sensitive information.
- Strong understanding of the company's information architecture and information management practices, leveraging these to optimize systems and workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: o Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. o Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. o Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
1. Lead the migration efforts of current legacy system to new modernized cloud-based SaaS solutions. This includes comprehensive planning, data assessment, extraction, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. The worker will primarily work on developing scripts to extract data out of legacy systems such as Oracle Cerner's Millennium database on in HL7 format.
2. Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and debugging issues. Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution.
3. Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders including immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts. Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution. Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges.
4. Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration. This includes training end-users, preparing comprehensive system documentation, and recommending strategies for optimizing system performance based on feedback and performance metrics.
5. Ensures that design complies with HHSC standards. This task also involves setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration.
