Responsible for evaluating, monitoring, assessing and / or reviewing programs, processes, claims, documentation and / or files to ensure compliance with internal company requirements and / or agency or government regulations for day-to-day operations of loan documentation. Functions may include evaluating processes to ensure business standards are followed; providing guidance to lenders and other staff regarding documentation requirements; ensures corrective action on exceptions and problems identified, required data is input and proper procedures were followed prior to customer signature and boarding. Ensures identified risks and / or problems are clearly documented and interacts with appropriate parties for timely resolution. Perform duties to ensure bank documentation, processes, and procedures adhere to established policies and follow regulatory controls and guidelines.
Essential Functions / Duties :
Embrace the LINK corporate values of LIVE, INTEGRITY, NURTURE, KNOWLEDGE and infuse those values throughout the company.This position requires the employee to possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn, while providing superior client services to all members of LINKBANK.Communicate with the Commercial and Credit Teams to ensure consistent application of the Bank’s procedures and processes.Support the lending process by producing legal and supporting documentation required for closing, modification, or renewal through timely and accurate input to internal systems.Manage documentation risk and quality by ensuring documentation is in compliance with credit approval, federal and state regulations, ability to secure a valid lien, and confirm that all pre-closing requirements are satisfied.Provide preliminary review of loan documentation that is internally or attorney prepared to ensure consistency with loan approvals.Identify and address any potential issues that may arise during the loan closing and documentation process.Review title work, commitment letters, transactional, and legal entity documents.Assist in training of new employees to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures, and the proper use of bank systems.Satisfactorily complete required annual regulatory training.Assist lending personnel with clearing of documentation exceptions.Other duties as assigned.Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications :
Education / Training : Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar program and / or paralegal certification or experience preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Ability to review and interpret complex commercial and consumer loan documents.Knowledge and understanding of loan documentation.Knowledge of transactional documents including purchase and sale agreements.Knowledge and understanding of title searches and insurance policies.Ability to conduct legal research and analysis using various law sources.Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to juggle multiple priorities with clear direction from supervisor and meet tight deadlines.Familiarity with loan origination systems, electronic document management, and relevant software applications.Attention to detail, problem solving and the ability to be proactive.Must partner with management team to ensure effective compliance to Bank’s policies and procedures.Skilled in engaging vendor relationships.Strong computer knowledge and Windows skills required.Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership and organizational skills.Experience :
5 years of experience in one or a combination of the following : quality control, financial services administration, loan documentation, loan servicing, risk evaluation, paralegal or legal assistance, commercial real estate settlement demonstrated through work experience;Physical and Mental Job Requirements :
Must be able to verbally communicate instructions and information clearly, concisely, and accurately to our clients and other employees.Must be able to read and comprehend sometimes complex schedules, and details to process correspondence accurately, while providing exceptional client service.Manual dexterity for the functional operation of office equipment, computer terminal, and other office equipment.Must have visual acuity required to work at a computer terminal.Mobility enough to coordinate activities in department and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
