Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Manage the full life cycle of federal government contracts, from pre-award through closeout
- Review and interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones
- Assist in contract negotiations and modifications as needed
- Work closely with contractors to address changes in scope, pricing, and other contract terms
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other relevant federal regulations
- Stay informed about changes in federal contracting policies and guidelines
- Identify and mitigate contract-related risks
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address contractual issues
- Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Address inquiries, provide clarification on contract terms, and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of contract-related activities
- Generate reports on contract status, performance, and compliance
- Manage the contract closeout process, ensuring all requirements are met
- Coordinate with finance and other departments to facilitate a smooth closeout process
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Contract Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in federal government contracting and contract management
- In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting processes
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Certification in federal contracting (e.g., FAC-C or DAWIA)
- Familiarity with government contract management systems and tools
- Experience with various contract types, including fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, and IDIQ
- Understanding of small business contracting programs
