CLASSIFICATION TITLE OF THE JOB: AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WORKER – FLEET MAINTENANCE DIVISION
CLASSIFICATION CATEGORY: Temporary Full-Time Position - Non-Union
CLASSIFICATION # 262
A Two (2) month Temporary, Full-time position working in the Linn County Road Department. This
position may be extended as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Service automobiles, trucks, tractors and other equipment.
- Keep records of service to vehicles and equipment.
- Change and rotate tires.
- Operate computers and software generally and related to finding parts, tools, and equipment;
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
- Assist mechanics occasionally as assigned.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from high school or GED certificate, plus one year experience in servicing and

- Possession of a Commercial Driver License Class A, manual transmission, fifth wheel, with air
