About the Position
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented custodian to join our team at Linn-Mar Community School District. As a custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school buildings. You will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all areas of the school, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitizing high-touch areas, such as doorknobs, light switches, and countertops
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Restocking paper products, soap, and other essential supplies
- Managing trash and recyclables
- Providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and procedures
