You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and have a track record of driving financial efficiency, improving profitability, and optimizing cash flow. You can see the big picture while also ensuring the accuracy of day-to-day financial operations.You have experience building and leading finance and accounting teams, developing financial models, and collaborating cross-functionally to support data-driven decision-making. Ideally, you’ve worked in DTC, eCommerce, or consumer products, but experience in high-growth startups or operational finance is just as valuable.Role OverviewWe’re looking for a VP of Finance and Accounting to own the financial strategy, operations, and reporting. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, cash flow management, and compliance while helping guide the company’s financial future. This person will work with an external finance agency and will be responsible for building out an in-house team over time.Financial Strategy & LeadershipLead the finance and accounting function, overseeing external financial partners and agenciesProvide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and leadership teamDevelop and execute financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and operational efficiencyEstablish KPIs and financial dashboards to track company performanceSupport fundraising efforts, investor reporting, and capital planning as neededBuild and scale an in-house finance and accounting team as the company growsFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planningBuild financial models to analyze business performance and drive decision-makingAssess profitability, cost structures, and pricing strategiesIdentify opportunities for cost savings, margin improvement, and process automationAccounting & ComplianceOversee the finance agency in managing full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, financial statements, and tax filings)Ensure GAAP compliance and implement strong financial controlsManage sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictionsOwn audit preparation and regulatory reportingCash Flow & Capital ManagementMonitor cash flow and working capitalEnsure efficient inventory and COGS tracking in collaboration with Demand Planning & Inventory ManagementDevelop strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce financial riskCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to align financial goals with business strategiesPartner with Supply Chain & Inventory teams to manage inventory costing and forecastingProvide financial insights to support growth initiatives, new product launches, and expansion into Amazon / TikTokWhat You Bring8 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in high-growth startups, DTC, eCommerce, or CPGExperience leading finance teams and working with external financial agenciesDeep understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow managementStrong proficiency in QuickBooks, financial analytics tools, and Excel / Google SheetsAbility to translate financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-makingExperience with inventory accounting and cost management is a plusExperience with DTC subscription businesses is preferred but not requiredCPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not requiredStrategic mindset with a hands-on approach—comfortable diving into details when neededSalary : $180,000 - $220,000 DOEBenefits : Comprehensive medical insuranceEquity : Negotiable based on experience
