Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records and supporting the smooth functioning of daily operations. As an integral part of our team, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for filing and organization of project folders, invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, obtaining lien releases, amongst other functions. This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks, possess excellent attention to detail, and demonstrate strong communication skills to interact effectively with all departments.

The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed in addition management, as appropriate may modify this job.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and on time
• Financial reconciliation: Strong background in reconciling A/P sub-ledger to the general ledger, vendor balances, and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure proper approvals, job cost coding, and documentation for all AP transactions
• Manage subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and compliance documents
• Maintain W-9’s for new vendors
• Process month-end close and financial reporting, including 1099 reports at year end
• Knowledge of GAAP & Financial Reporting: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and how AP transactions impact financial statements, accruals, and expense recognition

To succeed as an Accounts Payable Specialist at Linta Roofing, you’ll need to excel within the following criteria

· Associate’s degree ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related degree or

• Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, preferable within the construction industry
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with QuickBooks Online a must, HubSpot a Plus.
• Microsoft Office and Goggle Drive skills
• Excellent communications skills
• Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Experience in project accounting is a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP & Financial Reporting: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and how AP transactions impact financial statements, accruals, and expense recognition
• Knowledge of EOS a Plus (Entrepreneur Operating System)

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
