As the Solutions Architect, the ideal candidate shall serve as the senior technical and strategic advisor to the Exec Branch of TechOps. This role is pivotal in shaping and aligning enterprise architecture, IT modernization strategy, and execution across all TechOps domains-including BSD, TOC, CYB, PMAC, US, CMSS, and TALON that are in direct support of CI's criminal enforcement mission.
This position requires a deep understanding of enterprise systems, cross-domain architecture, and how business objectives intersect with technical capabilities. The candidate will architect and guide the "As-Is" and "To-Be" landscape, drive lifecycle strategies, and ensure mission readiness through scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions.

Job Duties: Executive Office Support (Subtask 3) - Core Focus
- Act as principal architect and trusted advisor to the CI TechOps Exec Branch.
- Lead delivery of Enterprise Architecture (EA) capturing current state and defining a phased roadmap toward modernization.
- Synchronize architecture and strategy across CI business and IT stakeholders.
- Guide strategic alignment of IT investments, modernization efforts, and EA lifecycles across all TechOps subtask areas.
- Deliver high-impact executive briefings, decision support artifacts, and actionable roadmaps aligned to CI's strategic vision.
- BSD: Oversee architecture integration for CI's data warehouse transformation, system modernization, and secure cloud transitions.
- TOC & CMSS: Align infrastructure modernization (cloud, virtualization, endpoints) with enterprise architecture and resiliency needs.
- CYBER: Assist in embedding Zero Trust and compliance (NIST 800-53, IRS policy) into solution design from the ground up.
- PMAC: Provide architectural oversight, support and guidance for solution evaluations, technology acquisitions, and program alignment.
- User Support (US): Help in architecting endpoint experience improvements and service delivery modernization to enable agent mobility and efficiency.
- TALON: Advise and act as SME on secure enclave strategies and intelligence system alignment with enterprise standards.
- 10 years of IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or federal systems engineering experience.
- Proven leadership engaging executive stakeholders on large-scale modernization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure planning.
- Strong grasp of Business Process Engineering (BPE), IT portfolio governance, and Digital Modernization execution.
- Skilled in bridging high-level strategy with actionable, compliant technical delivery.
- Preferred Certifications and Experience:
- CISSP, Security
- SAFe/Agile experience
- Multi-cloud Architecture Strategy and Experience (AWS, Azure) Cross-cloud architecture experience for secure, hybrid CI environments.
