The RN oversees patient care, administers medications, collaborates with healthcare teams, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate residents' health conditions and responses to treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments according to prescribed protocols.
- Provide wound care, pain management, and rehabilitation support.
- Supervise and direct Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other staff.
- Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical records and patient progress.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Promote a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and families.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Certifications: CPR/BLS certification
