What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Operator - Linx Mfg. position at LINX LLC?
Performs mechanical and electrical assembly support per defined standard work in a high-volume production in a metal fabrication environment.
Job Duties:
- Uses hand tools including, but not limited to wire cutters, strippers and crimpers to make wire harnesses.
- Uses hand, electric and pneumatic hand tools to perform mechanical assembly work such as bolting parts together.
- Applies labeling and artwork to products.
- Packages products for shipment.
- Performs quality audits to confirm the proper assembly of products.
- Works with engineering to improve the process.
- Handles materials in a way to minimize damage and to keep oneself and others safe.
- Verifies safe operating condition of tools and equipment needed to perform these duties.
- Keeps work area clean and organized.
- Participates in meetings to stay abreast of issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Performs other duties assigned by management to meet business needs.
